Bringing Up Father was an American comic strip created by cartoonist George McManus. Distributed by King Features Syndicate, it ran for 87 years, from January 12, 1913, to May 28, 2000. The strip is also known as “Jiggs and Maggie” (or “Maggie and Jiggs”).

In Denmark this comic strip is known as “Gyldenspjæt” and it was distributed by Gutenberghus as an yearly magazine shortly before Christmas from 1930 to 1977.
From 1962 to 1969 was both the actual year and the coming year written on the backside of the magazines.
